  • So I'm still sittin here...

Sick as a friggin dog. I thought I was over this stupid illness (whatever it may be) but I guess it decided it wanted to come back and play. My fevers are gone but my throat is going to explode. There's talk going around about taking my tonsils out...which could be the cure...but it'd be putting the band on hold for a LONG while...and I'm not all about that.

Anyways, how's everyone else? I'm kinda suprised at myself, as I'm sure you all probably are, for making two entries in two weeks. I guess its cuz I have nothing better to do right now...being sick and all. Plus, the comments are nice. I'm going to attempt another adventure *reformatting my computer* I call it an adventure because I've never done it before, but my computer is in the process of dying. I just want to play my online games and update my myspace, and my xanga, and the mighty happy crew site, just like the nerd that I am, but for some reason my computer disagrees. I printed out a walkthrough to help me out, but there's still a pretty good chance that I'll fail. Who knows?

So that's about all thats going on right now. Congratulations to anyone who's graduating...and hooray for summer for those of you who aren't. Either way...everyone have a nice day.

  • Holy hell, I remember how this thing works?

So yeah...due to popular demand...after a brief hiatus(lol) I decided I'd tune up the ol' xanga and take her for a spin. So how's life goin for everyone? I'm glad that mine's still going to be honest with ya. I just got off a 4 day sickness filled with 102+ degree temperatures...nausea...bloodwork...throat cultures...and all that hoo-hah...and i never thought it was going to end. Doctors still don't know what it was...but hey...i'm damn near better so i'll be back into the swing of things by this weekend. So I've got about 6 months of ground to cover...lets see if i can do it in six sentences or less.

1)I don't work at carrabba's anymore, due to the fact that I found a better paying day job at Walters' Auto Sales.
2)Walters' gives me any time I need off for the band, which is still going along incredibly well.
3)The band is on a short reprieve from the gig scene so we can write/record, but mostly so we can have time to go to people's grad parties and whatnot.
    4)Congratulations to everyone who's graduating.
5)My van blew up a few months ago...so I bought my momma's old taurus from her.
6)She bought a 2003 corolla from Walters' Auto Sales, which would be how I managed to get the job there.

That's about it as far as catching people up is concerned lol. A lot more than that has happened, but that's basically the jist of all of it. If you want to know...I suppose just ask. I'll put it in the next entry. That's right I'll be making another one. I wasn't gonna update until we started touring with the band, but I don't know how reasonable that's gonna be this summer. We did score a few sweet gigs that a lot of people should be able to come check out. We're playin downtown Watervliet for the 4th of July Festivities, Pretty sure we're gonna do something on the river stage at Venetian festival, which will be great exposure, and we're gonna be doin it REAL big hoping to kick some life back into the Glad Peach Festival in August. That's gonna be quite a time for me, cuz its gonna be the first GPF since my grandma died, and that was our thing...ever since I was able to walk we used to go out to the Druskovich Farms(about 2 miles from where Mowell lives now)...and pick enough glads to fill the entire city of Coloma. Sigh....

    I miss her...

but anywho On a more happy note, we're gonna rock the faces off of everyone downtown, and I'm personally dedicating it to her memory.

Dad bought the band a P.A. so now we can basically play anywhere, anytime, and sound friggin awesome. We scored some good mics at guitar center for dirt cheap, and he threw in the speakers, subs, and amps, so we're ready to rocknfrigginroll.

If you're reading this, do me a favor and at least sign up for the message boards at www.mightyhappycrew.com

We've got about 20 active posters on there right now, and the more that join, the merrier it is, so come on and have a lil fun to dull your boredom.

Well hey its gettin late and I've gotta be up early, so with that...

    You stay beautiful Xangaland

    Marcus out....
